The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross appeared on the market a few years ago as a bridge between the Mitsubishi RVR and the Mitsubishi Outlander. A little smaller than the Outlander, the Eclipse Cross still offers a versatile cabin with 640 litres of cargo space, technologies that improve comfort and safety for the whole family and the space you are looking for for your passengers and luggage.
Starting at less than $30,000, the 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross comes standard with Mitsubishi's All-Wheel Control S-AWC all-wheel drive. This all-wheel-drive system is one of the most advanced in the industry and allows the driver to control the operation of all-wheel drive according to road conditions. There are also three driving modes, automatic, snow and sand. The Eclipse Cross comes standard with 18-inch wheels, an infotainment system with a 7-inch screen and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functions, a continuously variable automatic transmission and a 1.5-litre turbo engine.
In other words, the 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross may be a little more expensive than its rivals on paper with its base model, but when you realize all that it offers as standard, you quickly notice its value for money. Ultimately, the Eclipse Cross gives you more than any other compact SUV.
It is available in three other versions, SE, Limited and GT. The high-end GT S-AWC model is available from $ 36,298 which is less expensive than the vast majority of high-end versions of other compact SUVs. It still offers leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats and a high-end Rockford Fosgate audio system.
Under the hood of the 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo engine developing 152 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. This torque is higher than most Eclipse Cross rivals, but the average fuel consumption rating is less than 9.0 litres per 100 kilometres.
